WEDS is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-governmental voluntary social service organization founded in 1992 under the Tamil Nadu Society Act of 1975. The governing body is made up of seven board members who are passionate about the development of girls and women.

At WEDS, we're passionate about empowering women and transforming communities. Our tailor training project in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, India, is just one of the ways we're working towards this mission. Dindigul is home to numerous textile-related industries and companies, creating a high demand for skilled tailors. By teaching tailoring skills, we're helping women tap into these job opportunities and become financially independent.

By providing them with certification upon completion of the training, we're validating their skills and boosting their confidence.
